What We Do

3D Visualization

Using a combination of software programs, we can show you exactly what your project will look like. From inspirational, sketchy images, all the way to photo-realistic marketing images, we can show the world your dreams. We can also walk you through (or fly you through!) your project to see every corner.

Architectural Design

Our creative process can help you create a completely original, 100% unique to YOU, design solution. We help you realize your dream project and end up with something better than any of us anticipated. From custom residential, to multi-family, to commercial/retail: SOK design studio can help you bring your project to life.

Remodels/Additions

SOK can help you with one of the most daunting projects there is – the Remodel. Who knows what lurks in those walls, how will the new blend with the existing? We have the skills to navigate those waters, the experience to advise and the passion to make it look original.

Site Analysis / Master Planning

SOK specializes in difficult lots, from super steep to complex property shapes. Our design process starts with the lot and all the various influences that affect a project – sun, wind, access, neighbors, noise, weather, utilities, easements, setbacks and so on. All of these elements are identified, graphically, in our early site development sketches. This way we are able to zero in on where your project wants to be on this place in the world.

Design-Build Approach

No one has ever built your dream before, so we’ve developed a concept-driven creative process that harnesses our abilities with your builders expertise. We work closely with the best contractors in the Pacific North West to create something that’s never been constructed. A strong architect-builder relationship is critical for the best design-build situation – communication, a team building mentality and solid decision making.

Community Projects

SOK is proud of our work with non-profits and community organizations to help realize their dreams. We help with the full spectrum of needs – from early phase brain storming sketches, to plans and mass modeling, to market-level or production oriented documents. From presentations to stake holders to fly through videos to help with capital campaigns, SOK can help make these dreams come true.

Architecture Design Studio

SOK launched in November of 2015. Eric and Matt had worked for Jon Sayler for years when he decided to retire and move to Phoenix. We created Sayler, Owens, Kerr design studio to bring a new energy to architecture in our region while still honoring Jon. Over the years we’ve added key players to our firm, which now stands at six employees and two offices. After years of answering the phones, “SOK design studio”, we decided to make it official and re-branded with just our initials. 2025 will mark 10 years of redefining excellence in design for our clients, with the Best Yet to Come!
